[Insanity - Piano Sonata]

Well, your comments confused me little, but

The musik is fucking amazing. I love it. Plain and simple there's nothing I can say that's negative about the piece. It's beautiful.

I'm sorry dude but you really need to quit screwing around with the preset stuff, the only preset thing you have here that's anygood is the FL Keys. It's great for piano stuff. I have a song, I'm sure you could find in the the 2003-2005 area of my songs list that has that exact same crash ending. I guess what really peeves me the most is how use us drumloops and the act like you did it yourself. If you're getting 0 bombed it's your own fault, you attitude and the utter lack of quality in your production are what get you zeroed. Hey, I've had plenty of stuff get very low scores, not because of assholes but because, well, it was mediocre at best. Hell, I'm trying to get away from standard and I'm still getting low marks. I'm not letting it bother me though. I figure if even 1 person out of a Million likes a song I did then I did my job. FUCK THE MASSES AND INSPIRE, INVIGORATE, LIFTUP, CONSOLE, AND TAKE CARE OF THAT ONE PERSON WHO STANDS BY YOUR EVERY NOTE, THEN YOU WILL KNOW WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A MUSICIAN AND NOT A PUPPET.

Not bad.

I can tell you why this got beat out for #2 by the Umms and ahhas song. It's unfortunately too standard, not offense, I like it but being an FL Studio user myself I can hear the premade loops that you used, the drumz especialy, I think you used DL_Aspirin, DL_Deadmaus, and I'm sure there's another one there too, DL_Elements, if I'm hearing that correctly. Understand that alot of people on here use FL Studio, so if you're going for orginality, stay away from the premade stuff. I'm telling you this because I too have made things with the presets and it all sucks. Now, looking at the fact that you are DJ, well, that's what Djs do, so for that you get my 3/5 and 6/10. IMO though, take out the FL Studio drumloops and put in something a little more unique/original and you'd have my 15. I like the song other than the DLs.

you put that a lot nicer than the person above you, hideto, but yes i did make this a WHILE ago, like a year ago so i was just starting out and was crap so that's why i was always using loops and shit.

and yes ur spot on with pretty much all 3 of those drums, i think i also used one more..... lol :P

I too have fl studio, and yeah, composing metal is a bad idea. Well sort of, I found that you have to make your own uh....well, not a plugin but tweak something like the ts404 or 3xOSC. Don't ever use the slayer as it sucks balls. I have something on here that was an attempt and well, yeah, it sounded like video game music. Which, no offense, is what this sounds like. Most of my older stuff sounds the same. Some of it just has to do with how you export it and what you do on the mixer. Yup. Great song though. I like the mix of classical and metal. Oh, I just realized what it's lacking, and this may have some to do with the FL Studio thing, RICHNESS. It's sounds like is all MIDI. Sounds like the production quality is reduced. The only tweaking you need to do with it is with the sound levels or something, whatever brings the richness and depth out. Raise the bass and mid a little maybe. How did you export it? Try doing it as an mp3 with 128-bit sync or higher, it'll take longer but you'll be able to tell the difference when you listen to it in WMP or your favorite music player.

Not very happy sounding. LOL.

I can't rip this one either. Good stuff. I went through a happy hardcore phase of sorts back in my raving days. It'd be sweet if you put this on vinyl so you could play with it. I wish I could do vinyl so I could play with it. Alot of my technoy songs are missing that LIVE aspect of things that a computer program really can't emulate. Keep it up, you don't credit yourself enough.

Ok, I was reviewing my friends piece when I saw your review and decided to see what credentials you have for tearing his shit apart the way you did. I think I actually found a new favorite artist on here. You're right, this is definately NOT D&B. Only an idiot would come to that conclusion as there is now D&B standard here whatsoever. Anywho, this is pretty fucking sweet. I can't say I've ever really heard of "hardstyle" but I can do research if I want to gain a better grasp of the style. Sounds like industrial more than anything from the genres provided. I would say it's a safe bet to call it "techno" as techno really is a generalized name describing most electronic dance music. I have the same problem with some of my stuff as well. It's not boring and pardon my igorance but I don't know what you mean by saying the the synth isn't hard enough, sounds pretty damn hard to me. Anyway, nice work, I really like that fart sound in there.... heh heh, I don't know if that's what you intended but, yeah......

Yeah, I personally think they should add more genres to choose from, since I reckon I have the same problem as you do:P I make Hardstyle (as this song suggest), I make Happy Hardcore, I make some sort of Hard Dance and even more. Trance, Dance and Techno simply wont cover all the aspects of the electronic genre that is most commonly known as techno, so I guess the only thing we can do is try to choose the genre that is closest to our songs, and go with that:P

Anyway, thanks again for the review, I'll go check out some of your stuff:)
